Terms of Service

Colors of Love is a dating and community platform for people living with HSV. By creating an account you agree to these terms, to treat other members with respect, and to use the service honestly and safely. You keep ownership of what you post, you can leave whenever you want, and we'll always tell you when these terms change in a way that matters.

"Colors of Love," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Colors of Love website and mobile apps (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and us. They work together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement to use the Service. Colors of Love is intended for adults seeking dating and community connections. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if a prior account of yours was suspended or banned for a violation of these Terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@colorsoflove.app if you believe your account has been compromised. One person, one account — accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared, or transferred.

Colors of Love serves a community of people living with HSV. Information about your HSV status is sensitive, special-category health data. During onboarding we ask for your explicit consent to process it, and we only use it to provide the Service — for example, to help you connect with a community that shares your experience. You control where it appears, and you can withdraw consent at any time from your profile settings. Withdrawing consent pauses your access to discovery until you consent again. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how this data is handled.

This is a space built on trust and respect. When you use Colors of Love, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against other members, including on the basis of health status, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion.
• Impersonate anyone, create fake or misleading profiles, or misrepresent who you are.
• Share, screenshot, or publish another member's health status, identity, photos, or private messages outside the Service without their consent.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that endangers others, or use the Service to solicit money, commit fraud, or promote a scam.
• Use the Service for any commercial solicitation, spam, or automated collection of data, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it.
• Use another member's information to stalk, harm, or contact them outside the Service against their wishes.

Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban. Enforcement decisions are made by our safety and moderation team, and every action is recorded in an internal audit log.

You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you post. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, showing your profile to people you may want to meet. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain for legal, safety, or backup reasons for a limited period. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

We use verification and moderation tools to help keep the community authentic, and some submissions are reviewed by a human moderator. No online platform can guarantee the identity or intentions of any member. Always use good judgment: meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and report anything that feels wrong. You can report a profile, message, or event from within the app, and our team will review it. If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Core features of Colors of Love are free. COL+ is an optional paid membership, and we also offer one-time add-ons such as profile boosts and priority likes. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy. COL+ is a recurring subscription that renews automatically until you cancel; one-time add-ons are charged once. We never charge you before your account is verified. Cancellations, renewals, and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their own terms.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other members, or as required by law. When your account is deleted, we remove or de-identify your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to limited legal and safety retention.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not provide medical advice, and nothing on Colors of Love is a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. We do not conduct criminal background checks on members. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Colors of Love and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other members. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email, and — where the change affects your consent — ask you to review and accept the updated terms before you continue. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
